Professional experience:
Head of Dept for Biomedical Engineering Dept; since Yr 2018; and leads a team of Asst. Engineers, Engineers and Managers to ensure proper maintenance of over 12,000 units of medical devices / system for Singapore General Hospital(SGH).
Prior to the administrative role, had practical experience on performing preventive maintenance, repair and commissioning of most electro-mechanical medical device in operating theatre, anesthesia unit, intensive care unit, endoscopy center, etc.
Involved in the strategic negotiation with the big four Medical Equipment Supplier for Cluster service contract cost
Involved in building of SGH’s first three Hybrid OT’s Project; in Yr2013 to 4; with Brainlab(Navigation System Manufacturer) Siemens for the intra-op CT, MR and C-arm.
Supported the Hospital during the JCI audit for FMS chapter – Medical Equipment Program.
Represented SGH/Ops Division in annual SGH Quality Convention Organizing Committee in 2010
Represented Dept. as the Hospital Internal Auditor Team to conduct annual ISO audits
