NUS-French Double Degree Programme (FDDP) 26th Anniversary alumni gathering

French-DDP-Alumni

Tis the season for reunions over good food and even better conversations!

Alumni of the NUS-French Double Degree Programme (FDDP) recently gathered for a warm and joyful celebration of their 26th anniversary reunion, bringing together past and current participants, as well as representatives from the French Embassy and French institutional partners.

It was a lovely evening, with over 35 FDDP alumni and guests enjoying dinner, reconnecting, and catching up with each other.

The Grandes Écoles are the top French institutes of higher learning, and CDE’s FDDP with the Grandes Écoles provides opportunities to learn at some of the world’s best engineering institutes, gaining exposure to a rich culture and vast network while a student at CDE! Our six partners in the FDDP are CentraleSupélec, École Polytechnique, MINES ParisTech—PSL, École des Ponts ParisTech, Télécom Paris, and ENSTA Paris. Students spend the first two years in CDE, then leave for the French Grandes Écoles for two years before returning to NUS to complete their Master’s degree at NUS.

The reunion was organised by the NUS-FDDP French Alumni Club. Among the guests was Assoc Prof Lim Kah Bin, Honorary Fellow (Mechanical Engineering), who set up the programme 26 years ago! Alums gathered include Dr Wang Yingting, who currently chairs the NUS FDDP Alumni Committee and Ms Eng Se-Hsiang CDE Advisory Board member.

Calling all FDDP alums who might have missed the reunion – keep in touch via the alumni network by searching for "NUS FDDP Alumni" on Facebook or LinkedIn!

Looking forward to an update on CDE-FDDP’s 30th anniversary!
