CDE Donor Appreciation Dinner
We kicked off the year by celebrating our donors' unwavering support at a special CDE Donor Appreciation Dinner, held at the Conrad Centennial Singapore. This memorable evening brought together over 150 donors and guests to honour the generosity that drives our mission and touches countless lives.

We had the privilege of showcasing a diverse array of innovative student projects to our donors and guests. From cutting-edge designs to impactful solutions, each project represents the future of engineering and design. Our donors and guests were able to interact with the students, learn about their work, and see first-hand the tangible impact of their support.

Kickoff of the CDE Commencement Class Giving Campaign
Our Class Champions took the lead to embrace the NUS’s tradition of the Commencement Class Giving through a series of fundraising activities. Special thanks to this year’s Class Champions for making a difference. Looking ahead to 2025, we’re thrilled to welcome 29 students who have already committed to this meaningful role.

Giving Team Community Engagement
We also embraced our corporate social responsibility (CSR) by giving back to the community. As part of this commitment, we volunteered with Food From The Heart, a local organisation dedicated to alleviating food insecurity. This initiative allowed us to contribute directly to the well-being of those in need, fostering a sense of community and reinforcing the values of compassion and giving that underpin our work at CDE.

Faculty & Staff Giving
Our faculty and staff have wholeheartedly embraced the spirit of giving, coming together to raise approximately $100,000 in support of CDE students' future. Notably, the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Department of the Built Environment have established their own departmental bursary sub-names under the College of Design and Engineering Bursary.

CDE Donor Wall Launch
We celebrated a significant milestone with the launch of our CDE Donor Wall - Our Circle of Patrons, honoring major donors whose contributions leave a lasting legacy at CDE. Located on Level 1 of the Block EA, this wall is complemented by our virtual Donor Wall, enabling us to express our gratitude and recognise our supporters both in person and online.

Appreciation Dinner with CDE Class Champions
We gathered with our CDE Class Champions at the NUSS Café on The Ridge for a casual and heartwarming appreciation dinner. These amazing students have played a key role in championing the Commencement Class Giving 2024. Their enthusiasm and leadership helped create a meaningful impact for the department, and we couldn’t be prouder of their contributions.

This CDE Bursary Night is an appreciation event brought together donors and their student recipients for an evening of meaningful connections. Students shared their experiences and expressed how donor support has shaped their educational journeys, fostering a deeper sense of community and gratitude.

Our student organising committee were invited to an appreciation lunch at our office. They were presented with a certificate of appreciation for their enthusiasm and effort in making the CDE Bursary Night a success.
