Biography
Zhi Min is an alumnus of Tembusu College and NUS, graduating with a BEng in Mechanical Engineering. He started his career as a Mechanical Engineer in local engineering design firm, Hope Technik where he worked on a variety of projects ranging from unmanned systems to medical devices, aircraft seats and many more. He went on to co-found technology start-up, Yonah which aims to use unmanned systems to solve critical cargo logistics problems in the most remote areas of the world. Yonah blends the disciplines of technology and engineering with the business of critical logistics and the intricacies of public health. Zhi Min’s other passion is in the field of engineering education – training engineering undergraduates not only with the technical competencies to be change makers, but also nurturing in them a heart for social innovation and using engineering for good. In his previous life, he was also a SCUBA instructor and a paratrooper in the SAF. His diverse background and myriad of experiences will be useful for engaging students across a wide variety of both academic and non-academic projects.
Research Interests
Aerodynamics, autonomous systems, machine vision, public health. Currently pursuing a M.Eng under Ag Dir Advanced Robotics Center, A/P Marcelo Ang.
