Biography

William Leong is a Research Scientist at the Centre for Flight Sciences, Temasek Laboratories @ NUS (TL@NUS). He holds a Master of Technology in Software Engineering and a Bachelor of Computing from the National University of Singapore.

His work sits at the intersection of swarm intelligence, multi-agent systems, and distributed algorithms. He focuses on scalable algorithms and the design of decentralised systems for aerial robots, with a particular interest in how palm-sized drones can coordinate, share tasks, and operate robustly as a swarm in constrained environments. He is especially interested in work that turns research concepts into working robotic systems.

His earlier work in software engineering involved developing and integrating distributed simulation systems for defence applications.
