"I enrolled in the Master of Science in Management of Technology and Innovation offered at the NUS College of Design and Engineering (CDE) a year into my job as a software engineer at an MNC. I then switched roles to management consultancy when I graduated after two years of studying part-time. I wouldn’t have had the career progression if not for the programme. After being a consultant for a few years, I was given the opportunity to expand the company consulting services to China,” said Mr Liu Dong. He read the MSc (Management of Technology and Innovation) programme from 2015 to 2017.

The NUS MSc (MOTI) programme equips engineers, scientists, and business professionals with cutting-edge knowledge, frameworks, and tools for innovation and technology management.

Mr Liu, who now leads a team in Shanghai under the company expansion plan, notes that the programme had also prepared him to deal with the opportunities given. The knowledge of IP management, marketing, and innovation management that he picked up broadened his industry perspectives, supplementing much of his engineering background.
