MSc (MOTI) student - Patricia Holscher
1) Why did you choose to read our MSc programme?
Considering the strong ties between German technology companies and Southeast Asia, I'm convinced that gaining an understanding of the Asian context and establishing a network in the region holds significant value. NUS is the strongest university in Asia and one of the best in the world. Thus, the choice to study at such a unique institution feels entirely natural.
2) How has reading the MSc benefited you?
Throughout my time at NUS, I had the privilege of learning from exceptional professors who significantly enhanced my academic expedition. Furthermore, the opportunity to engage with fellow students from diverse corners of the globe expanded my perspectives, both in terms of academics and cultural insights.
3) What is your current company and what do you do at work? What is interesting about your work and any impactful contributions to highlight?
I am currently working as an intern at a German automotive company in the Corporate Development and Strategy department in Dubai. It is an exciting experience and I can build on the skillset I acquired at NUS. Following this, I will join one of the leading management consultancies in Germany, where I'll work on exciting technology projects.
4) Any interesting aspects to share about yourself? How do you see yourself growing holistically three years from now and what's your career aspiration?
Studying at NUS has truly helped me to thrive in an international work environment while pushing me to set my personal aspirations high. My aim is to pursue a career at the junction of management and technology, ideally within a consultancy or corporate firm based in Asia, Europe, or the Middle East.
