MSc (MTM) student - Tun Lin

After successfully obtaining his BSc Nautical Science degree from Myanmar and acquiring four years of experience as a deck officer in KLC SM Co., Ltd, South Korea, Tun Lin made the decision to enhance his skills by enrolling in the NUS Master of Science in Maritime Technology & Management (MTM) programme. Tun Lin was particularly captivated by the diverse range of courses offered in the MSc MTM programme, as they encompassed various facets of the maritime industry, including maritime data analytics, port logistics, supply chain management, and intermodal freight transport. Additionally, he was drawn to NUS due to its esteemed reputation as one of the leading universities globally and the top-ranked institution in Southeast Asia. Participating in the MTM programme has not only allowed Tun Lin to unleash his full potential but has also heightened his enthusiasm for port logistics, supply chain management, maritime data analytics, and intermodal freight transport.

Throughout the intensive one-year full-time MSc programme, Tun Lin also had the valuable opportunity to engage in a six-month internship at DNV, where he served as a Maritime Advisory Intern. This internship provided him with a comprehensive understanding of Singapore's maritime ecosystem as a whole. Tun Lin was able to meet and engage in discussions with key stakeholders in the maritime industry, enabling him to gain insights from their diverse perspectives. This experience proved to be invaluable for his professional growth and development.
