MSc (MOTI) student - Aeron

Aeron graduated with BEng in Electronic and Control Systems Engineering and has worked as a Senior Application Engineer in Qorvo International Pte Ltd, a semiconductor company, for a few years.

He shared his student life journey: “From the challenges at my workspace, I sought to broaden my expertise and was drawn to the MSc programmes offered by NUS which I found on LinkedIn. The part-time MSc in Management of Technology and Innovation particularly resonated with me, as it promised to provide valuable insights into innovation and technology management that aligned with my career goals. The MSc MOTI programme has been immensely beneficial, offering courses such as IP Management, Corporate Entrepreneurship, Enterprise and Product Development, Technological and Service Innovation, Business Finance, Technology Marketing, Managing Human Elements, and Digital Disruption. These subjects have equipped me with contemporary business acumen.

Additionally, the programme's emphasis on collaborative projects has sharpened my project management abilities, as it necessitated optimizing the diverse skills of team members to excel in presentations and reports. I particularly enjoy the dynamism of working with different teammates each semester, valuing skill diversity and expanding my professional network. Through this, I've lived Tuckman's Model of team development - Forming, Storming, Norming, and Performing; and felt deeply engaged in every project.”

Aeron also shared that the MSc MOTI programme has fostered his innovative thinking, “At work, I've been tasked with establishing a new test station and process, and the knowledge gained from the MSc programme has been instrumental in overcoming challenges efficiently.”

Sharing his aspirations, he said “Looking ahead, I envision myself continuing to grow both personally and professionally in the tech sector. I aim to leverage my skills to contribute positively to fields like green technology and environmental sustainability, making a meaningful impact on the world.”
