TENURE-TRACK/TENURED POSITIONS IN DATA SCIENCE, MACHINE LEARNING, AND SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT
The Department of Industrial Systems Engineering & Management (ISEM), National University of Singapore invites applications for open rank tenure-track/tenured positions in data science, machine learning, and supply chain management. Our department values pure methodology as well as translational work with significant applications, as evidenced by the faculty’s wide domain expertise. We are looking for candidates with the potential to build a record of excellence in both research and teaching; in particular, we welcome and encourage applications from women candidates. Requisite is exceptional potential for leadership in research and education, an ability and willingness to teach at all levels of the program, and a PhD in statistics, computer/information science, operations research, or a related field by the start of the appointment. Successful candidates can expect excellent conditions for research and teaching, a collegial and supportive environment at a highly ranked international university, and the experience of living in a dynamic and exciting English-speaking city. In addition to competitive salaries, NUS provides an attractive support package including subsidized housing and relocation benefits. The department also provides a generous start-up research grant, 12-month salaries, and ample faculty release time for professional travel. Beyond the department’s resources, the Singaporean government is very supportive of higher education and offers substantial opportunities for large research grants.
