Yang Keat chose to pursue ISE because of its versatile nature. Before university, he was not entirely sure which career path he wanted to take, but he saw that ISE offered the perfect balance between technical skills and business acumen. What inspired him most was seeing how seniors from the program went on to thrive in such a wide range of industries—this flexibility gave him the confidence that ISE would open up many possibilities.

In recent years, Leslie has witnessed how global disruptions such as COVID-19, geopolitical tensions, and rising tariffs have placed immense pressure on businesses. For a resource-scarce nation like Singapore, securing raw materials, managing costs, and ensuring resilience are critical for survival. These challenges sparked Leslie’s interest in understanding supply chain dynamics, leading him to enrol in the MSc in Supply Chain Management programme at the Department of Industrial Systems Engineering and Management, National University of Singapore.

Clarisa Madilao spent most of her education and working life in North America and was curious to explore Singapore from a supply chain perspective. She took up the MSc in Supply Chain Management programme at NUS as the programme seemed comprehensive and aligned with her goal of expanding her skill sets and knowledge as a supply chain professional.
