PET aerogels from plastic bottle waste wins TechConnect Innovation Award

Congrats to A/Prof Duong Hai Minh and team, whose work on PET aerogels has won the TechConnect Innovation Award. The award was presented at the TechConnect World Innovation Conference and Expo, Boston, USA, 17-19 June 2019.

The team developed a way to turn plastic bottle waste into ultralight PET aerogels that are suitable for various applications, including heat insulation and carbon dioxide absorption.
