Graduate Certificate in Robot Design
The Graduate Certificate (GC) in Robot Design offers a project-based programme that is of great relevance to the local industries in which the applications of robots are increased significantly. The projects offered in this GC programme are directly relevant to the industry, or proposed by companies or NUS academic staff. Therefore, the programme will enhance the knowledge and expertise of the engineers and prepare them for new challenges in related industrial sectors.
A candidate is expected to pass two project courses (8 Units) and achieve a minimum overall Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 (out of 5) to graduate.

Period of Candidature
Maximum 2 years.
Award of Graduate Certificate
Upon completion of 8 Units with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 2.50 (out of 5).
For students who want to advance to the Master of Science (M.Sc) in Robotics programme, the minimum overall GPA must be 3.0 and above, and subject to the approval of the department. A submission of application to the M.Sc. programme is required.
Successfully completed courses with grade point ≥ 3.00 may be transferred, up to a maximum of 8 Units, subject to the approval from the department. The validity period of the transfer is within 5 years from the award of the Graduate Certificate.
This is project-based GC programme. After some introduction lectures, students have the flexibility to work with NUS staff to complete the programme.

Admission Criteria
| Eligibility | Bachelor's degree holders (with honours or equivalent) in relevant areas of robotics such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Control, Mechatronics, Automation, Robotic Engineering, Medicine Engineering, Physics etc.
The above mentioned is a minimum requirement, which does not guarantee admission; selection is on a competitive basis. |

Admission Intake
There are two (2) intakes per Academic Year. Candidates will be admitted at the beginning of each semester of the academic year, in either August or January depending on the application submitted.

The full tuition fee for the programme is SGD 11,000 (before GST).
The GST rate is 8% from 1 January 2023 onwards.
The GST rate will be increased from 8% to 9% from 1 January 2024.
