Graduate Certificate in Robotics Science and Engineering
The Graduate Certificate (GC) in Robotics Science and Engineering is a coursework-based programme and offers a comprehensive coverage of topics that are of great relevance to local industries in which the applications of robot are increased significantly. The courses offered in this GC programme will enhance the knowledge and expertise of the engineers and prepare them for new challenges in the related industrial sectors.
A candidate is expected to pass three courses (12 Units) and achieve a minimum overall Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.5 (out of 5) to graduate.
Among the 12 Units, at least 4 Units must be core course/s, and the rest can be elective courses. A course typically carries 4 Units unless otherwise stated.

Award of Graduate Certificate
Upon completion of 12 Units with a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 2.50 (out of 5).
For students who want to advance to the Master of Science (M.Sc) in Robotics programme, the minimum overall GPA must be 3.0 and above, and subject to the approval of the department. A submission of application to the M.Sc. programme is required.
Successfully completed courses with grade point ≥ 3.00 may be transferred, up to a maximum of 12 Units, subject to the approval of the department. The validity period of the transfer is within 5 years from the award of the Graduate Certificate.
Courses are usually taught on weekday evenings from 6-9 pm. Exams may be held during working hours on weekdays.
Please refer to timetable under the M.Sc (Robotics) programme here.
