Congratulations to our student team for securing a Merit Award at the Global Student Innovation Challenge 2025 in Bangkok. The competition ran from 24 to 26 November and brought together student innovators from around the world, each presenting ideas aimed at improving everyday life.
With the supervision of Dr Danielle Tan, the team from the ME4101B Mechanical Systems Design course earned the Merit Award under the Design Category, with 12 groups competing this year. The team comprised Gavin Khey Meng Hong, Neo Rong Yao Joel, M Viknesh and Arwa Mufaddal Topiwalla.
Our student teams have also achieved wins in the past, including in 2019 and 2020. This year’s result adds another highlight for the department and reflects the creativity and commitment shown by our students.
This is a proud moment not only for the team but also for the Department of Mechanical Engineering at NUS. Warm congratulations once again to the students and their supervisor.
