NUS ME student Lau Jin Ming builds AI chip that steers bicycle

NUS mechanical engineering student Lau Jin Ming combined his love for cycling and tech and built an AI chip that steers his bicycle for him.

He doesn’t use the AI chip during his foodpanda deliveries due to regulations, but Jin Ming is already envisioning other AI-assisted possibilities, such as programming a chip that can ring a bell whenever it detects people in front.

Find out more about Jin Ming’s creation and his love for cycling, tech and music (he plays 7 instruments!) in this Mothership article.
