Professor Seeram Ramakrishna from the NUS Department of Mechanical Engineering is once again named among the world’s most highly cited researchers in the latest 2017 Highly Cited Researchers report published by Clarivate Analytics. The celebration was especially meaningful as the Class of ME92 championed and raised S$200,000 for a scholarship fund – the ME92 Class Scholarship Endowed Fund.

The eco-friendly system harvests waste energy and is suitable for building clusters and underground cities. Developed by NUS ME research team led by Associate Professor Ernest Chua, the novel system could pave the way for a more environmentally friendly and cost-effective way of producing key essentials for daily living – electricity, water, air-conditioning and heat.
