Abstract
Climate change presents profound challenges to infrastructure systems, demanding resilient, adaptive, and sustainable engineering responses. This seminar will offer insights into Singapore's coastal protection and flood management strategies in the face of climate change and rising sea levels.
Key discussions will explore how industries are aligning with national initiatives such as the Singapore Green Plan 2030 to develop Net Zero strategies while balancing climate risks with economic imperatives. The seminar will also highlight the pivotal role of durable, low-carbon materials in enhancing infrastructure resilience, reducing maintenance demands, and lowering embodied carbon emissions.
By integrating climate projections, policy frameworks, and material innovations, this seminar aims to provide actionable perspectives for the sustainable development of future infrastructure. A panel discussion will conclude the session, covering climate change policies, insurance, legal considerations, and addressing questions from the floor.
