CFI Singapore at IAHR World Congress 2025
The 41st International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research World Congress (IAHR2025) will be held from June 23-27, 2025, at Singapore EXPO. This prestigious event will bring together global experts to explore the latest innovations in hydro-environmental engineering and research, with joint sessions featuring key discussions on the challenges of climate change. In addition, SIWW Spotlight 2025 (June 23-26, 2025) will be co-located with the IAHR World Congress 2025 and will focus on the theme "Flood Resilient Cities: Adapting to Climate Change." The event will foster meaningful exchanges and partnerships, driving collective action toward creating flood-resilient urban spaces. The event is expected to welcome 1500-2000 participants worldwide. The 41st IAHR World Congress 2025 has successfully concluded, and the Coastal Protection and Flood Resilience Institute (CFI) Singapore was honoured to participate as a co-organiser of this landmark event.
Held from 22 to 27 June 2025, the Congress brought together over 1,350 international and local experts in hydro-environment engineering and water research. As part of our involvement, CFI Singapore contributed to global discussions on coastal resilience, flood protection, and sustainable water futures, while deepening partnerships with peers from around the world.

About CFI Singapore
CFI Singapore is the nation’s first Centre of Excellence dedicated to coastal protection and flood management. Launched in 2023 and hosted at the National University of Singapore (NUS), the institute plays a key role under PUB’s S$125 million Coastal Protection Research Programme (CPRP). CFI brings together leading institutions—Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT), and the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR)—to advance research, build local expertise, and develop science-based solutions that strengthen Singapore’s resilience against sea level rise and extreme weather.
