Product Reduction is a sustainability framework that addresses the problem of the vast amounts of waste often comprising products with only partially obsolete components. By applying the principle of reduction—which is the easy disassembly of obsolete constituents—objects can be redesigned to live multiple lives. User-level life transitions and the transference of values stored in the first life also allows for positive impact derived from user-product interactions.
Bikrak is a rear-mounted bicycle rack based on the application of Dieter Rams' 10 Design Principles and the need to move personal belongings on bicycles. Catering to young adults commuting to school or work, it provides a secure and adaptive carrier system to move their personal belongings. Using a hard top and soft bottom platform, it allows users to store small/medium sized objects in the lower compartment and medium/large objects on the top platform.

The ZØMM stackable stool takes inspiration from how a strip of paper creates three-dimensional forms by twisting and bending. The stool has an honest appearance despite its unconventional angular bends. After being laser-cut from a 3mm steel sheet, the ZØMM stool is then formed into its basic shape using a customised double-axis bending machine. This efficient two-step process lowers the cost, time and carbon footprint of the manufacturing process. Made almost completely out of a single material, the ZØMM stool is also easily recycled at the end of its lifespan.
