In November 2025, the Coastal Protection and Flood Resilience Institute (CFI) Singapore signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Hong Kong Polytechnic University's Otto Poon Research Institute for Climate Resilient Infrastructure (PolyU). This partnership aims to explore joint research on climate resilience, and coastal modelling.

The MoU fosters cross-border collaboration, enabling knowledge exchange, shared living-lab initiatives, and co-development of innovative solutions to address regional climate and environmental challenges.

Through this collaboration, CFI and HK PolyU seek to strengthen research capabilities in both Singapore and Hong Kong, paving the way for impactful projects that drive sustainable development and climate resilience across the region. Together, CFI and HK PolyU are advancing regional research networks and building collaborative solutions for a sustainable future.
