Appointed as Editor in Chief of the scientific journal “IEEE Transactions on VLSI Systems – Associate Professor Massimo Alioto

Assoc. Prof. Massimo Alioto from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at NUS has been appointed Editor in Chief of the scientific journal “IEEE Transactions on VLSI Systems” starting 1 Jan 2019 for 2 years. The journal is a highly prestigious publication for presenting scientific and technological advances in the field of large-scale integrated circuits.

This new role strengthens the ECE-NUS worldwide leadership and prominence in the field of integrated circuits, and enables new opportunities to make a strong impact on technologies that are used by all of us every day, from smartphones to IoT, wearables and cloud computing.

Assoc. Prof. Alioto has also become Technical Program Committee member of the highly prestigious IEEE ISSCC international conference, which is the premier worldwide forum for the debut of technical innovations in integrated circuits and systems. In his new capacity, Assoc. Prof. Alioto is member of the “Digital circuits” committee, which consists of worldwide technical leaders in the field.

As additional achievement that strengthens the ECE-NUS leadership in Asia, Prof. Alioto has been selected and appointed as technical committee member for the “Digital circuits and systems” area of the IEEE Asian Solid-State Circuits Conference.”
