Ganesh Samudra is the Associate Professor with Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, the National University of Singapore. He received the M.S., M.S.E.E. and Ph.D. degrees from Purdue University in 1982, 1985 and 1985, respectively, and the M.Sc. degree in physics from Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, India in 1976. From 1985 to 1989 he was a section manager and member of group technical staff in Texas Instruments. He was visiting professor at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2001.

His research interests include fabrication, simulation and modeling of semiconductor devices and solar cells, novel power semiconductor devices and emerging semiconductor devices with fast turn-on characteristics. Prof. Samudra has published more than 200 papers in the premier journals and conferences, managed/completed several projects in semiconductor process and device simulation area. He has also done many collaborative projects in fabrication of emerging and power devices. He is a co-recipient of the IEEE Electron Devices Society’s 2008 Paul Rappaport Award.

Prof. Samudra has been very active in various services to International Academic Community. He currently serves as simulation and modeling subcommittee chairman of premier IEEE conference International Electron Device Meeting (IEDM 2010).
