Chitralekha is a Research Fellow at the HLT lab in NUS. She has recently graduated and obtained her PhD from School of Computing, NUS, under the supervision of Prof. Li Haizhou and A/Prof Wang Ye. She received her Master’s degree in Communication and Signal Processing from IIT Bombay, India in 2011, and worked as a software developer and a research engineer in the industry for three years before starting her PhD. Her research interests are speech and music signal processing, music information retrieval, and applications of music in education and therapy. She is currently working on singing voice evaluation techniques, lyrics alignment and recognition.
