ECE graduate student won Best Poster Award at 4th Workshop for Young Female Researchers in Speech Science and Technology.
ECE graduate student Ms Gao Xiaoxue, supervised by Professor Li Haizhou in Human Language Technology Laboratory, won the Best Poster Award Runner-Up Prize in the 4th Workshop for Young Female Researchers in Speech Science and Technology 2019.
The workshop was organized to foster research interests in speech science and technology among young female students through poster presentations and dialogue sessions. It was held on September 14th, 2019, in Graz, Austria as part of the Annual Conference of the International Speech Communication Association.
The workshop awarded one Winner and one Runner-Up Prize among 25 accepted poster presentations from 11 countries. The Runner-Up Prize recognizes Gao Xiaoxue’s novel contributions to Speech-to-Singing Conversion and Synthesis.
