Dr. Zhao Zhenyu, a Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, has been named an Emerging Leader by Measurement Science and Technology, a journal established by the Institute of Physics in 1923 as the first scientific instrumentation and measurement journal. Measurement Science and Technology defines an emerging leader as a top researcher worldwide in their field who completed their PhD in 2009 or later (10 years excluding career breaks).
Dr. Zhao was chosen for this award due to his unique work on high-frequency behavioral characterization and estimation of induction machines. His collaborative efforts with researchers from Nanyang Technological University set a new benchmark for accurately assessing the high-frequency behaviors and reliability of induction machines.
