Professor Guo Yong Xin and his team have won the 2020 IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters Tatsuo Itoh Prize, IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S).
The winning team comprised of Professor Guo Yong Xin, Professor Aaron Thean (Dean of Engineering), Dr Wei Chen, Dr Yida Li & Dr Rongqiang Li.
Professor Guo Yong Xin and his team from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, NUS have been conferred the prestigious IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters Tatsuo Itoh Prize during the virtual 2020 International Microwave Symposium.
This is awarded by the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S) in recognition of the most significant contribution by a paper in IEEE Microwave and Components Letters (MWCL) that is published in the year 2018.
The Tatsou Itoh Award is given annually and recognizes the authors of the best paper published in the IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters. The award comprises a plaque, honorarium of US$400 for each author, and a travel grant to fully cover airfare and hotel for one author. Prof Guo’s award paper “Bendable and Stretchable Microfluidic Liquid Metal Based Filter”, which was co-authored by W. Chen, Y.D. Li, A.V.Y. Thean, and Y.X. Guo, was published in IEEE Microwave and Wireless Components Letters, vol. 28, no. 3, pp. 203-205, March 2018.
