Sanjib Kumar Panda, Associate Professor of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore, has been appointed as an IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS) Distinguished Lecturer (DL). The IEEE Distinguished Lecturers (DL) Program is one of the most exciting offerings available to the IEEE Society Chapters. Each year, the IEEE Power Electronics Society (PELS) selects a few distinguished members of the profession as Distinguished Lecturer. This not only celebrates and honours their high achievements in the field of power electronics but also supports PELS chapter and student branch activities by providing high-profile speakers for local chapter/section events.
Prof. Panda will serve as the IEEE PELS Distinguished Lecturer for a two-year term, from 2022 to 2023. He has pioneered and is recognized in the field of high-performance control of power electronic converters and motor drive systems. His PELS DL talks will be on “Single-phase inverter control techniques for interfacing renewable energy sources with micro-grid:
Part-1: Parallel connected inverter topologies and Part-2: Series connected inverter topologies with active and reactive power flow control along with grid current shaping”, and “A Plug and Play Operational Approach for Implementation of an Autonomous-Micro-Grid System”. He is the first PELS DL from a Singapore-based institution.
