Congratulations to Ph.D. Student Mr. Yang Danyu who has won the Best Student Paper Award (Second Place) at the prestigious 2024 IEEE Asia-Pacific Conference on Antennas and Propagation (APCAP).
The research paper titled “Method of MIMO Capacity Improvement Based on S-parameter Phase Difference,” was supervised by Professor Chen Zhining. The paper introduces a novel approach to enhancing the channel capacity of multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) antenna systems. Through theoretical derivation and numerical analysis, the research shows that achieving a 90-degree phase difference in the S-parameter reflection and transmission coefficients between two antennas can significantly suppress correlation, thereby boosting MIMO channel capacity. This groundbreaking method offers a new perspective for improving the performance of MIMO systems, which are critical for modern wireless communication networks.
The IEEE APCAP Conference is a leading platform for researchers and professionals in the field of antennas and propagation, making this recognition a significant achievement. Congratulations to Mr. Yang Danyu and Professor Chen Zhining for this outstanding accomplishment!
