Qinyi is now a part-time Ph.D student at National University of Singapore. She joined HLT team as a research engineer in April 2019. Her research interest is mainly focus on Automatic Speech Recognition. Qinyi received her First-Class B.Eng. degree specified in electrical engineering from York University, ON, Canada in June 2018. During her undergraduate time, she is a member of Dean’s Honor Roll at York University since the year of 2016. From 2016 to 2017, she worked in the HEATED Lab at York University as a part-time research assistant investigating thermal boundary conductance of nanostructured materials under the supervision of Professor Simone Pisana. In the summer of 2018, she worked in the Signal Processing and Communication Lab at York University for numerical studying the Oxford Nanopore pore behavior under the supervision of Professor Andrew Eckford.
