SENIOR LECTURER

Dr Henry TAN received his Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from NUS in 2015, under the auspices of an A*STAR SIMTech-NUS ECE project collaboration. He has since co-lectured a dozen ECE and inter-departmental undergraduate courses with faculty colleagues from the ECE, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Science departments. Together with one of his teaching teams, they won the Annual Teaching Excellence Award (ATEA) in the team category in 2022.

Before teaching, he was involved in numerous NUS research projects, from single-principal investigator (PI) research studies to multi-PIs and multi-institutional collaborations, in the areas of image processing, pattern recognition, artificial intelligence, embedded systems, control and mechatronics in automation systems, and flexible-printed electronics manufacturing. He is currently a Senior Lecturer and serving as the Year 1 and Year 2 EE Programs Coordinator in the ECE department.
