Weng Khuen HO received the B.Eng and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the National University of Singapore in 1987 and 1992, respectively. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore and the Director, Centre for Intelligent Control. His research interests include control and signal processing in semiconductor manufacturing and process control. He received the 2002 Best Paper Award, IEEE Transactions on Semiconductor Manufacturing. He is an Associate Editor, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics (since 2006), and Guest Editor, Journal of Process Control Special Issue on Advanced Process Control for Semiconductor Manufacturing (2008), Guest Editor, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics Special Section on Industrial Control (2009). He was a Visiting Scholar at Fisher-Rosemount (1993) and Stanford University (1999 to 2001). He has taught the following courses: System and Control, Introduction to Nonlinear Control, and Adaptive Control and received the 2001, 2002 and 2003 Faculty of Engineering Teaching Award. He has supervised 15 Ph.D. students. He served full-time National Service in the Singapore Armed Forces from 1979 to 1981 and is in the army reserve since 1981. His current rank is Captain.
