Dr Lin Feng was appointed a Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in August 2024. He received a BEng degree in Computer Science and Control and an MEng degree in system engineering from Beihang University, Beijing, China, in 2000 and 2003, respectively. He received a PhD in Computer and Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore in 2011.
Dr Lin was a Senior Research Scientist at Temasek Laboratories @ NUS and a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at NUS from 2011 to 2019. Subsequently, he served as the Chief Technology Officer at Shenzhen MicroHiggs Technologies from 2019 to 2023.
His primary areas of research and educational focus include unmanned aerial vehicles, flight control and motion planning, and vision-aided localisation and control. He has contributed to over 30 papers in the field of unmanned systems. Notably, he received the Best Application Paper Award at the 8th World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation held in Jinan, China, in 2010. Moreover, Dr. Lin has played a significant role on the editorial board for Unmanned Systems.
