On 25 September, the NUS IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu (HKN) Chapter held its fourth installment of
its Talent Relay initiative with an introduction to PCB Design with Altium workshop. This
initiative continues to provide a platform for knowledge sharing, while offering IEEE-HKN
members opportunities to develop communication, and teaching skills.
The workshop, led by Videl and Zi Yang, was attended by 42 students from the College of
Design and Engineering. Participants were guided through the usage of Altium to make a
simple LED board, and learnt about best practices in schematic creation, routing, and
fabrication of PCBs.
Our Chapter extends its sincere gratitude to Videl and Zi Yang for leading the session, and to
all participants for their enthusiasm. We would also like to thank the NUS Innovation &
Design Programme (IDP) for their partnership and support of our initiative. We look forward
to expanding the Talent Relay Initiative with more workshops in the future.
