NUS IEEE-HKN SMD Reflow and PCB Design Workshops

On 3 August, the NUS IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu (HKN) Chapter conducted two exciting workshops for the NUS CDE community as part of the Innovation and Design Programme’s Week 0 Hands-on Workshops.

During the first-ever SMD Reflow Workshop, led by Teng Yi, participants were introduced to the SMD reflow process used in PCB fabrication. They gained hands-on experience in applying solder paste, placing SMD components and using hotplates to solder the components securely in place.
In the PCB Design with Altium Workshop, Kenneth Wong led participants in designing a simple LED board from learning best practices in schematic design to trace routing and fabrication.
Our chapter extends its gratitude to Teng Yi and Kenneth Wong, for their time, effort and dedication in making these sessions possible. We would also like to extend our appreciation to the NUS Innovation and Design Programme (iDP) for collaborating with us to organise the workshops.
We look forward to bringing more technical workshops to the community in the coming semesters.
