Dr. Ramanathan Saravanan is a Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from College of Engineering Guindy, Anna University Chennai, India followed by an M.Sc. in Embedded Systems and a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
Prior to joining the ECE department, he held academic positions at Singtel Cognitive and Artificial Intelligence Lab for Enterprises (SCALE@NTU) and TUMCREATE Singapore. His research primarily revolves around designing predictable, high-performance computing systems. Specifically, he tackles complex resource allocation and scheduling challenges within interconnected environments like smart mobility, cyber-physical networks, and IoT systems. Dedicated to hands-on learning, he teaches courses bridging digital logic with practical, real-time system development.
He is a member of the IEEE and serves as a reviewer for several leading international journals and on technical program committees for real-time systems conferences. Externally, he advises educational institutions and edtech startups on tech-driven learning.
