Showcase of Advanced Optical Technologies attracted great interests and attention of investors and potential customers

Congratulations to ECE PhD student Mr. Zhang Shihua and his co-authors from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), National University of Singapore (NUS), whose paper, “Make Geometry Matter for Spatial Reasoning,” was selected as one of 10 Award Candidates at the 19th European Conference on Computer Vision (ECCV 2026). The paper was also accepted as an ECCV 2026 Long Oral Presentation. Mr. Zhang Shihua is supervised by Associate Professor Wang Xinchao. The paper was co-authored by Shihua Zhang, Qiuhong Shen, Shizun Wang, Tianbo Pan and Xinchao Wang.

On 7 September 2026, the IEEE-HKN Lambda Omega Chapter held its first internal bonding session of the academic year, together with a Student Exchange Programme (SEP) and NUS Overseas Colleges (NOC) Sharing Session. The event provided members with an opportunity to learn from seniors about overseas study and internship experiences, while fostering connections among newly inducted and existing Chapter members.

On 27 August 2026, the NUS Chapter of IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu (HKN) hosted a Welcome Tea to kick off the AY2025/26 Semester 1 NUS ECE Peer Tutoring Scheme.
