Professor Ho Ghim Wei Receives SNIC-AsCA2019 Singapore Award for Distinguished Woman Chemist 2026

Professor Ho Ghim Wei from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS) has been selected as the recipient of the Singapore National Institute of Chemistry (SNIC)-AsCA2019 Singapore Award for Distinguished Woman Chemist 2026.

This prestigious award recognises her outstanding contributions to a chemistry-centred research approach that bridges fundamental mechanisms and engineered systems, enabling the rational design of functional materials and devices with broad impact across energy, environmental, electronic, and healthcare applications.

The award highlights her leadership and impact in advancing innovative materials research that connects scientific discovery with practical engineering applications.

Professor Ho will receive the award at the 13th Singapore International Chemistry Conference (SICC-13th) in December 2026.

NUS Bitscraps Equips Members with Practical Electronics Repair Skills Through AY2026/27 Training Series

Ahead of its repair sessions after recess week, NUS Bitscraps conducted a three-part training series to equip members with the practical skills needed to diagnose and repair electronic devices. Designed to build progressively from fundamental electronics skills to hands-on troubleshooting, the sessions also introduced new members to the club’s approach to electronics repair. Held at the CDE Linear Electronics Lab (E4A-06-03), all three sessions were designed for members regardless of prior experience.
