Congratulations to Dr Chen Xudong who has been promoted to Full Professor, with effect from 1 January 2020. Recently Dr Chen has been elevated to IEEE Fellow, a distinction reserved for select IEEE members with extraordinary accomplishments in IEEE’s fields of interest.
Dr Chen received the accolade for his contributions to optimization methods for electromagnetic inverse scattering. His research interests mainly include inverse scattering and computational imaging. He has authored the book, Computational Methods for Electromagnetic Inverse Scattering (Wiley-IEEE, 2018), the first monograph on computational algorithms for inverse scattering. He has been members of organizing committees of 10+ conferences, serving as General Chair, TPC Chair, Award Committee Chair, etc. He has been an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques since 2015. He is a Fellow of the Electromagnetics Academy.
