On 15 April, the IEEE-HKN NUS Chapter organised an Appreciation Ceremony to express our heartfelt gratitude to the peer tutors of the AY2025/26 Semester 2 NUS ECE Peer Tutoring Scheme.

On 26 March 2026, the IEEE-HKN Lambda Omega Chapter held its second internal bonding session of the semester. The event was meant to allow members to catch up and interact with one another, and to provide a time for them to recharge and relax before the submissions and finals period.

A paper led by Dr Zhao Zhenyu’s research group at the National University of Singapore (NUS) Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering has received the Best Symposium Paper Award (2nd Place) at the 2026 Asia-Pacific International Symposium and Exhibition on Electromagnetic Compatibility (APEMC 2026).

Professor Ho Ghim Wei from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS) has been selected as the recipient of the Singapore National Institute of Chemistry (SNIC)-AsCA2019 Singapore Award for Distinguished Woman Chemist 2026.

Mr. Chang Xu, a graduate student from the research group of Professor Hyunsoo Yang at NUS ECE, has been awarded the Best Student Oral Presentation Award at the 2026 IEEE International Magnetics Conference (INTERMAG 2026) held in Manchester, United Kingdom.

Dr Jin Yueming from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS) has been awarded the Robert Brown Promising Researcher Award under the Ministry of Education (MOE) Academic Research Fund (AcRF) Tier 2 Grant Call.

Mr. Soumyadeep Dhar, a student from the Internship and Research Immersion in Singapore (IRIS)@NUS programme, mentored by Associate Professor Mehul Motani (Electrical and Computer Engineering, NUS), has achieved a significant research milestone.

Professor Ang Kah Wee from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the National University of Singapore has been appointed Associate Editor-in-Chief of IEEE Electron Device Letters (EDL), a leading international journal in the field of electron devices and semiconductor technology.

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) successfully hosted the second edition of ExCEllence 2026 (ECE Project Showcase) on 15 April at Block E7. Building on the success of its inaugural run in 2025, the annual flagship event continues to serve as a key platform for showcasing student innovation, technical excellence, and the application of engineering principles to real-world challenges.

Associate Professor Sanjib Kumar Panda, Associate Professor in NUS ECE, has been honoured with the ACE Alumni Award 2024 by Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat, India.

A team of students from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS), led by Dr Zhao Lin, has clinched the Champion title at the 2026 Singapore Amazing Flying Machine Competition (SAFMC) High-Speed Drone Flock Challenge.
